Final Products

Directors Cut (10 minute cut of movie)

I would like to say about my products that the low quality B-movie style was entirely intentional and I purposefully shot scenes in a way that is reminiscent of an amateur camera man because I wanted to get the bootleg movie vibe across.
The narrative is disjointed because the characters are brainstorming and have not fleshed out their ideas fully which is why sometimes the cut-aways are a bit disjointed as the characters have not figured out what happens in between the scenes yet.

During the processing stage there was a technical problem that neither I nor Sidney Stringer were aware of and my movie lost scenes, sound effects and some scenes were processed in a lower quality and frame rate. Due to Sidney Stringer giving me my movie so late in the course I was unable to re-edit the movie and fix the problems caused by the technical error. This has resulted in a watch-able but broken movie through no fault of my own. I have been deeply upset by this as I spent a incredibly long time and put a lot of effort into creating this movie.

Article Edit

I have replaced my fake advertisement on my article with a competition to be in Writers Block 2. I did this because I felt as though the advert was overkill on the comedy element and looked stupid.

Filming for evaluation will start Monday 30th March. I have split the question into two sections one section shall be an interview and one shall be a behind the scenes documentary.

Movie Review

I have written a review for my movie and in keeping with the comedic style of my movie I wrote a negative review for the movie. But in hindsight I have decided that perhaps it was the wrong way to take my review as I point out my own flaws. I will write another review but make this one more positive.

Poster Edit

I have edited the poster slightly. I made most the fonts on the poster appear less comedic to make the poster look even more ridiculous and  made the release date bigger because it was hard to see originally. I also added some anchorage text that confirms for the audience that this is a comedy.

Movie Runtime

My movie will run for longer than 5 minutes because I believe that cramming my story into 5 minutes will result in a lower quality final product than a slightly extended version. The extended version will add in scenes that give the movie more of a clear narrative that would be lost in a 5 minute version.
The movie will now be about 8 minutes long.

Editing

Editing is more or less done but I may need one more session to work on some little things.
The movie also runs for nearly seven minutes so I may need to cut some of the movie down.

Poster Feedback

After showing the poster to a group of people of many different ages and backgrounds I received only positive feedback.
One person found the poster hilarious and she laughed whenever she looked at it.
My american friends thought it looked great and funny.
Other comments were as simple as "AWESOME".

Poster

The poster for the movie.
I chose this design because it represents the plot of the movie. In the movie the character of Callum is helped by his friend which is why he is being carried. During the movie the writers pour out ideas which is why they are surrounded by their ideas. I chose the tagline 'we couldn't think of a good tagline' because it keeps in line with the comedic tone that I have being trying to achieve. I also wanted to make the movie appear to be a b-movie which is why it is fairly obviously edited because most comedy/ B movies have bad special effects which is the feel that I am trying to achieve.
